Corporate Gifting in Pakistan: Why Candles Work and What to Budget

A gift box, a burning jar candle and a wrapped candle arranged as a corporate gift set from Candle Studio Lahore

If you are pricing a corporate gift and want the short version: budget Rs. 400 to Rs. 900 a head for something a client or an employee will actually keep, order from 20 pieces upward, and give us two to three weeks if you want your logo on the packaging. Everything below is the reasoning behind those numbers.

We make candles by hand in Lahore and send corporate orders across Pakistan. This is written for the person who has been handed a budget and a date, which in most companies is someone in HR or admin who did not ask for this job.

Why candles work as a corporate gift

Most corporate gifts fail in one of two ways. Either nobody wants them, which is the fate of every branded diary and desk clock, or they are consumed and forgotten in an afternoon, which is what happens to a box of sweets.

A candle sits somewhere better. It goes home rather than staying in a drawer at the office, so the person who receives it uses it in front of their family. It is neutral: it does not assume the recipient’s age, gender, diet or religion, which matters when you are sending the same gift to two hundred people you have never met. And it burns for weeks, so your gesture is present in someone’s living room long after the occasion.

The honest limitation: a candle is not a status gift. If you need to impress one senior client in a way that signals expense, this is not that. For everyone else on the list, it does the job better than most things at the price.

What to budget per head

Work out the per-head figure first, then multiply. A total budget is hard to reason about: Rs. 100,000 sounds generous until you divide it across 250 staff and find you have Rs. 400 each.

Per headWhat it buysSuits
Rs. 150 to 350Small shaped candles, bubble candles, glass candlesLarge staff giveaways, 200 people and above
Rs. 400 to 900Mandala jar candle, soy wax jar candle, pillar candlesClients and mid-sized teams. Most orders settle here
Rs. 1,400 to 1,450Soy wax glass candle, matte black jar candleSenior clients, board members, partner firms
Rs. 2,950Signature candle bouquetA single standout gift rather than a bulk order

The Rs. 400 to Rs. 900 band is where most corporate orders land, and there is a reason. Below Rs. 350 the piece reads as a token, which is fine for a staff giveaway where everybody gets something and nobody expected much. Above Rs. 1,400 you are buying a proper gift, which is right for thirty clients and unaffordable for three hundred employees.

One thing worth deciding early: whether everyone gets the same gift. Many companies send a jar candle to the full staff list and a bouquet to a short list of clients. That is usually a better use of the same money than flattening the budget across everyone.

Will it look cheap?

This is the real question behind most corporate gift enquiries, and it deserves a straight answer. What makes a gift look cheap is almost never the price. It is the presentation and the vagueness.

A Rs. 650 jar candle that arrives in a proper box, with a printed card carrying the recipient’s name and a line from your managing director, reads as considered. The same candle in a plastic bag with a sticker reads as something bought in a hurry. The difference in cost is small. The difference in how it lands is not.

The second thing that helps is telling people what they are holding. We publish the net wax weight and burn time for every candle we make, and we can print them on the card that goes with your order. A recipient who can see that a candle holds 100g of wax and burns for about 26 hours understands they have been given something real. A candle with no information on it is asking to be judged by its packaging alone.

Branding and packaging

We arrange branded packaging for corporate orders. In practice that means your logo on the outer box, on a printed card, or on a label wrapped around the jar, depending on the piece you choose and how your logo is shaped.

Packaging and printing are quoted separately from the candles, at what they cost us in the market on the day. We will show you the split between candles and packaging so you can see what you are paying for. Send us your logo as a PNG or an AI file and we will come back with options and prices.

Two practical notes. Logos print better on a card or a box than directly on wax, so the card is usually the better route as well as the cheaper one. And a colour theme is easier to match than a logo colour is to reproduce exactly, so if your brand colour matters, tell us before we pour rather than after.

Quantities, lead time and delivery

Corporate pricing and branding start at 20 pieces. Below that we are happy to take the order at our normal prices, but it is not really a corporate order and the packaging options are narrower.

  • Stock colours, no branding: two to five working days to dispatch.
  • Custom colours or scents: seven to ten days. Candles are poured in small batches and then need curing time, which is what keeps the colour and scent even across two hundred pieces.
  • Branded boxes or printed cards: two to three weeks, because printing sits outside our studio and has its own queue.

Delivery runs across Pakistan. Lahore is usually the fastest. Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Multan are two to five days. Every piece in a bulk order is packed individually rather than loose in a carton, because a candle that arrives chipped undoes the whole exercise.

If you need the order to land on a specific date, such as the last working day before Eid, tell us that date rather than the date you want it dispatched. We will work backwards from it.

When companies order

Four moments account for most of what we send.

  • Eid. The biggest one, and the one most companies leave too late. Order three weeks out, not one.
  • Year end and the new year. Client gifting, usually a shorter list and a higher per-head budget.
  • Employee milestones. Work anniversaries, farewells, new joiners. Small repeat orders through the year, which suit a standing arrangement better than a one-off quote.
  • Conferences and launches. Table gifts and delegate bags, where the piece has to be light enough to carry home in hand luggage.

Invoicing

We send a written invoice in your company name so your finance department has something to file. Tell us at the quote stage if you need a purchase order number on it, or if your process requires a quotation on letterhead before an order can be raised. That is normal and we will send one.

Common questions

What is the minimum order for corporate gifts?

Twenty pieces. That is where corporate pricing and branded packaging begin. Smaller orders are welcome at our normal prices.

How much should a company budget per employee?

Rs. 400 to Rs. 900 a head covers most corporate orders and buys a jar or pillar candle that people keep. Rs. 150 to Rs. 350 works for very large staff giveaways. Above Rs. 1,400 is client and leadership territory.

Can you put our company logo on the candles?

Yes, on the box, on a printed card or on a label around the jar. Printing is quoted separately at market cost. Send us your logo and we will come back with options.

How long does a bulk corporate order take?

Two to five working days for stock colours, seven to ten days for custom colours or scents, and two to three weeks if you want branded printing. Delivery adds two to five days outside Lahore.

Do you deliver to Karachi and Islamabad?

Yes, and to the rest of Pakistan. Bulk orders are packed piece by piece so they arrive intact, and you get a tracking number once the order is dispatched.

Getting a quote

Three things are enough for us to price your order: how many pieces, your per-head budget, and the date it has to arrive. If you have a colour theme or a logo, send those too.

Have a look at our corporate candles page for what we do for companies, or the full candle shop if you would rather start from the pieces. Then message us on WhatsApp at 0300-122-1260 or use the contact page, and we will come back with a quantity, a price and a delivery date.
